Why I Teach Restorative Yoga

Restorative / Yin Yoga uses basic asanas (postures), which may be adapted using props for extra special comfort, focusing on holding these poses passively for a long time. These asanas create deep relaxation even at cellular level working on the connective tissues of our physical body as well as restoring energy levels and working on our subtle anatomy. Restorative Yoga practice counteracts the stress that is prevalent in everyday life and the  multitude ill effects it produces on the body. This type of Yoga immediately resonated with me when I came across it and I was inquisitive to know more. I think it is important to everyone to do what they can to restore their bodies and minds and this is why I teach it.
